The concept
Networking is about meeting people and building long-term relationships. You need a vehicle to meet the right people, those with both a buying and selling power, from the right companies - representing a broad range of services and with a similar attitude towards active networking.
Business network Scotland's approach
Business Network Scotland holds monthly networking events in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
BNS events bring together decision makers from a wide range of businesses who wish to promote their business and to expand their network of service providers.
Attendance is resticted to decision makers who have both a buying and selling authority. The events are structured but informal with an aim of creating an ideal environment for constructive, and enjoyable, networking.
The procedure
Each monthly BNS event takes the form of a structured two-hour session from 12 noon to 2pm. Following a pre-lunch reception when there is time to mingle and chat, you will be seated on a table with decision makers from other businnesses, but none competitive with your own.
Over lunch, each person at your table will be given the opportunity to explain about their company or service. This interactive session has proved a very successful way to develop business relations.
Each month you sit with a different group, or you may choose to be seated with someone specific.
At each event a BNS member also has the opportunity to make a short presentation to everyone present (the Speaker's Slot).

Membership
Once you have experienced a BNS event you will see for yourself how Business Network Scotland could benefit your company and be in a position to consider membership.
Membership is corporate and open to all types and sizes of business. Membership is restricted to decision makers at Director, Partner or Senior Management level within your company.
The number of members from similar types of business is also restricted so that each category of business represents no more than 5% of the total membership.
Are you someone who would like to grow your business through networking but are not in a position, either financially or time-wise, to commit to a year’s worth of networking? Business Network Scotland’s “try before you buy” offer may be just for you.
For a limited time, you can enjoy 3 BNS events, with membership rights, for £100 + VAT, ie £120. All you need to do is to book into 3 events up to 3 months in advance. The 3 events can be consecutive months in 1 area (Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow) or 3 events in any of the 3 areas within a 3 month period. The £120 is non-refundable but you can pay by debit or credit card over the phone.
After the trial period, if you then decide to join BNS for 12 months, the joining fee will be waived, saving you £50 + VAT.
